2. Key Targets

Emission Reduction:
Achieve a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030.

Renewable Energy:
Meet 100% of the electricity demand in our production facilities through renewable energy sources (such as solar power systems) by 2028.

Waste Management:
Recycle 90% of production waste and operate in line with a “Zero Waste” approach.

Sustainable Sourcing:
Ensure that 70% of raw materials used are organic, recycled, or certified (such as BCI, GOTS) by 2030.

3. Action Plan

A. Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy

• Upgrade machinery with energy-efficient, modern technologies.
• Maximize the efficiency and utilization of rooftop solar energy systems.
• Transition to automated, energy-saving lighting and heating systems.

B. Circular Economy and Waste Management

• Recycle fabric cutting waste through specialized recycling partners, enabling reuse as raw material.
• Reduce single-use plastics in packaging and transition to recycled paper and plastic alternatives.
• Research and implement low-water or waterless dyeing and finishing technologies to reduce water consumption across our factory and supply chain.

C. Sustainable Materials and Supply Chain

• Audit suppliers’ environmental policies and establish a “Green Supplier” network.
• Increase the use of organic cotton, TENCEL™, and recycled polyester.

D. Training and Awareness

• Provide training programs on climate change and energy efficiency for all employees.
• Encourage sustainable ideas through an internal employee suggestion system.

4. Monitoring and Reporting
Akcakaya Textile will transparently share annual progress under this plan through its Sustainability Report, published regularly on our website.
